The popularity of Mr. Fred Duprez , who is appearing this week at the Empire , in " Mr. Manhattan , " is evidenced by the crowded houses and high - souning applause he and his company have been playing to , and lovers of musical comedy should not miss this treat . November 24th , and during the week , Mackie Production Syndicate will On Monday , present the successful revue , " Hop Scotch , " the great Scotch Comedy Success in eleven scenes . The star cast includes Carr and Finch , Desmond and Déne , Jack Brady , Arthur Stevens , Jack E. Raymond , Jean Tait , Eight College Girls , Oliver and Mack , and Full Beauty Chorus . Seats can be booked at the box office from 10-30 to 3 , and 5-30 to 9 .

There is always a most pleasing programme provided for patrons of the popular Palace , and to - night's programme is no exception to the rule : First place must be given to the Fox super production " Six Cylinder Love , " with the new comedian Ernest Truex . happily married couple who are lured into debt by a six cylinder car . The joys and trials of a Elaborate cabaret episodes and beautiful dancing scenes , and a bevy of charming Ziegfield Follies ; beauties , all tend to make this a very enjoyable number . The inimitable Clyde Cook stars in a two reel absurdity , which provides a lot of fun , entitled " The Orphan . " ' Varieties by the local favourites , the Bros. Armstrong , and Albert and Rogers make up an excellent programme . On Monday Hoodman Blind will be screened , and on Thursday " " Not a Drum was heard , " featuring Buck Jones . Dick and Jim will provide the turns . Aeola and Viola , and

The new problem play " A Daughter of Babylon , " with its wonderful episodes of life and laughter , has proved a great success for its first week on any stage , at this popular house , and should not be missed .
Another big attraction is to be produced next week in the great domestic Drama " The much Married Man , " by that popular actress , Miss Leah Corentez . Everyone should see the great Election scene .
