SHIELDS DOMBINATION . Yet another trophy has been secured by the Shields Combination officials . It is in the form of a shield , presented by the " Football Favourite . ' It was decided by the clubs that it should be competed for annually between the champions of Division L. and Division II . It has been decided to admit another club to the first division , to take over the fixtures of the S.S. Empire . The name of the new club is Cleadon Park , and the secretary is Mr Carr , c / o Crighton's Construction Works , Cleadon Park , South , Shields The team will play their home matches on the Cleadon Park Estate . The Combination now gaters for 35 clubs , and is the strongest affiliated league in the district . Considerable interest is attached to the doings of the various clube , and the form displayed up to date indicates that competi tion is keener than ever this season . Middle Docks are proving a fairly consis tént lot , and as the result of their visit to Simonside they gained both points , winning by the odd goal in seven . Douglas and Smeaton got a couple each for the winners , while White secured all three for the Simon side lads . The outstanding feature of the games in the second division was the defeat of Ber tram ( previously the only unbeaten side ) by Tyne Dock " Saints . " The latter won by two clear goals , S. 8. Alexander got off the bottom rung of the league ladder at last by a welcome suc cess over St. Francis by the odd goal in three . Another add goal victory was that secured by Glenrose over St. Bede's . The score being 3-2 in favour of Glenrose . Celtic and Jarrow Rangers drew on the former's ground , each side scoring one goal , and in the Harton Albion v . George Biri game , the points were also divided , both sides scoring twice . East Jarrow United gained a notable suc cess at the expense of Barbers , who were defeated on their own ground by three goals to one .
