OCR	10 Shields Gazette , Saturday , October 11 , 1975 PARKER KEEPS GOAL - A - GAME RECORD ALTHOUGH all their chief title rivals won , South Shields kept three points ahead after a hard earned 3-2 win at Alnwick last week in the Northern Alliance . Despite conceding the first goal the Mariners snapped back with three counters before the break , which was just as well because Alnwick had them on the defensive later on . Kenny Parker kept his goal - a - game record with the last one after Jim Robson and Ray Young had scored . Seaham had to make a comeback too after Athletic had Wallsend opened the scoring , but it finally all came right for Red Star with a 3-2 vicory . Denis Halliday ( 2 ) and young Malcolm Guy were the scorers for Seaham , who fielded a new goalie Bernie Giblin in when both Alan Turns and Jeff Williams were ruled out through injury . That 10-0 rout of Bedlington took Carlisle City into third from top place on goal average above Percy Main . Despite conceding the first goal the Mariners snapped back with three counters before the break , which was just as well because Alnwick had them on the defensive later on . Kenny Parker kept his goal - a - game record with the last one after Jim Robson and Ray Young had scored .
