SOUTH SHIELDS are still unbeaten after 18 Northern Alliance and cup games this season and their goal - rush shows no signs of drying - up Saturday's 7-0 home win over Belford brought Shields ' goals tally in their last four Alliance games to a staggering 27 , the sequence being 7-7-6-7 ... and it was a glory day for striker Kenny Parker . He grabbed five of the to himself goals seven establish an individual match record for the club , and he is now the Alliance's leading scorer . He now has 20 goals and has scored in each of his eleven Alliance matches . e All told he has scored 26 goals in his 16 games , and with less than half the season gone he could well exceed colleague Jimmy Robson's 31 Alliance goals last when he was joint top scorer . season 5 - goal Parker leads another Shields blitz Shields , however , have still to be content with second place in the table behind Percy Main who on Saturday beat Morpeth Town 4-3 . This Saturday Shields are at home to Workington Reserves and the following Saturday they are at home to Percy Main . n The opening 15 minute spell saw Shields bombard the visitors ' goal , and in the tenth minute Parker gave them the lead . Ray Young put Parker through on the right with a neat flick and goalkeeper Anderson had no chance . move Young figured again in a ten minutes later , laying off a ball to Ritchie Madden on the right touch line , the far post cross finding Parker , who nodded in the second goal . For the first 45 minutes , Shields goalkeeper Dick Patterson was left in the cold , having only a couple of shots to deal with . - In the 50th minute Madden found the net for the first time this season with an 18 yard shot off the post . Belford's only ploy was to move their game from a comparatively defensively based affair to a more attacking role , and in fact immediately after going three down , Turnbull hit the post and Taylor , for the second time , sliced wide with only the man in green to beat . n NORTHERN ALLIANCE Percy Main South Shields Carlisle City Seaham R.S. The move follows meeting of the World Boxing Congress in Tunis recently when , delegates considered Mr all the world titles . Clarke said the WBC would be deciding who Conteh has to meet as soon as they know if he will be fit . a Conteh has until March to defend the title , for then the mandatory one year expires . He last put his title at stake on March 11 this year when he stopped Lonnie Bennett in five rounds , but broke his right hand in a ten rounds non title victory over Willie Taylor in Scranton , USA , in August . Conteh became world champion in October , 1974 , when he beat Shumada after the WBC had Jorge stripped Bob Foster of the title be cause of inactivity . Conteh could be given the same treatment if he is not ready to defend his crown , although it is possible that in view of the circumstances he might be given a little extra time .
