Bridgnorth's best chance came to Pugh following a cross by Pinches but his low shot was well saved by Craig . But it was Shields - who took the lead after 26 minutes when SUGGETT headed past Bradburn following a right wing cross . Then the Mariners went near again when a shot from Hunter was narrowly wide . FOUR CORNERS Bridgnorth hit back and a cross from Pinches gave Francis an opportunity but he was robbed by Carr who kicked the ball over his own bar . Shields won two corners but both were cleared then Bridgnorth , seeking the equalisers , won four corners in succession but could not take advantage of them . Half - time : Bridgnorth So Shields 1 Bridgnorth went on to the attack immediately after half - time and Ward shot narrowly wide then Shields had another narrow escape when a cross from Pinches hit the side netting .
