OCR Marsden Cricket Club have a Durhan Coast League fixture on that date as well as on August 31 when the Mariners also hoped to be at home , and at a meeting held in the Town Hall it was decided that the football club will have to play at Cleadon Recreation Ground on those two dates the Edu cation Committee agreed to the hurried request for the schools ' pitch and that the Marsden CC dates stand .
The Mariners have asked the Northern Alliance to agree to the change .

NEITHER he nor Alan Stokoe could comment on reports that Marsden Juniors football club , other old tenants of the ground , are making inquiries about their position .
So , for the record , South Shields Mariners will be at home to Belford on August 17 and entertain Work ington Reserves on August 31 at Cleadon Recreation Ground .
