He had a nerve - shattering start with United , up against a Sheffield Wednesday wing pair of Albert Quixall and Alan Finney on the top of their form . Newcastle lost the contest 2-1 , and Redhead didn't get another chance in senior company . He moved to Redheugh Park across the Tyne and took part in Gateshead's last months as a Football League outfit before concentrating on local non - league soccer , becoming recognised as a fine defender in those circles . He completed his career with a spell in the Scottish League . Appearances : FL : 1 app . gls . Total : 1 app . gls . |
