OUT OF THE DEPTHS . - Fervent Chelsea supporters had a very unhappy time at the beginning of
our match with Darlington . Two adverse goals in the first six minutes of the game , and a recollection of " what they did to Clapton Orient " was enough to shake the faith of spectators and players alike . The latter deserve all praise for the splendid way in which they fought back and turned a prospective rout into a brilliant victory . To the Chelsea *** " fans it was a transition from gloom to glorious sunshine .
WILSON'S " WINNER . " - Andy Wilson's rather long delayed return to the side was more than welcome , and when he scored his goal - his first since the Preston match in October - the crowd signified its delight with wonderful spontaneity and heartiness . It was a great shot too , worthy of Wilson , and a " winner " all the way .
